$20 Helps in 20 Ways

1. $20 = Puts up 2 Brown-headed Nuthatch nest boxes to give these declining southern birds a cozy place to live.
2. $20 = An hour on the boat to protect coastal birds.
3. $20 = Distributes 50 Spanish-Language Native Plant brochures to Habitat for Humanity neighborhoods.
4. $20 = Enough gas to meet with a landowner to talk about managing their land to help the highly threatened Golden Winged Warbler.
5. $20 = Materials for a Native Plant Presentation to a local garden group to encourage the planting of bird friendly flowers and shrubs.
6. $20 = An hour on the boat to protect waterfowl at the Audubon Sanctuary in Corolla.
7. $20 = Purchases a mist nest to observe and tag Wood Thrush in the Piedmont so we can learn more about how to better protect them.
8. $20 = Warms early morning volunteers with coffee for a full week of counting bird strikes and monitoring migrating birds in one of our Lights Out cities.
9. $20 = Repairs to one of the dozens of Purple Martin and Tree Swallow houses at our Audubon Sanctuary in Corolla.
10. $20 = Encourages the growing and selling of bird friendly flowers and shrubs.
11. $20 = Creates a symbolic string fence to protect nesting birds on the beach.
12. $20 = Buys seed to plant millet and other grasses that waterfowl at the Audubon Sanctuary in Corolla eat in the winter.
13. $20 = Distributes 50 Native Plant brochures to the Mountains to encourage the planting of bird friendly flowers and shrubs in backyards.
14. $20 = Pays for two hats to help protect our staff from the sun while monitoring and protecting birds.
15. $20 = Installs 1 sign to remind visitors to Share the Beach.
16. $20 = Distributes 50 Native Plant brochures to the Piedmont to encourage the planting of bird friendly flowers and shrubs in backyards.
17. $20 = Pays for 2 t-shirts for our volunteer Beach Bird Stewards who educate beach goers about nesting birds in Wilmington.
18. $20 = Purchases a can of paint to keep up the historic hunt lodge at our Audubon Sanctuary in Corolla.
19. $20 = Distributes 50 Native Plant brochures to the Coast to encourage the planting of bird friendly flowers and shrubs by municipalities.
20. $20 = Fills the motors for the pumps needed to fill the waterfowl impoundments hosting hundreds of ducks at our Audubon Sanctuary in Corolla.
