Treasure Highlands
Audubon North Carolina is a partner and supporter of The Treasure Highlands project. This project supports the work of a number of partners including the Highlands Plateau Audubon Society chapter, the Highlands Biological Station, the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust and others whose work helps protect birds and wildlife in the Highlands Plateau Important Bird Area. Treasure Highlands connects people with citizen science and volunteer opportunities in the region. The Treasure Highlands website serves as a clearinghouse for outdoor, environmental activities and volunteer opportunities in the area, including building trails, planning events, conducting bird surveys or attending field trips. If you are planning a trip to the area, or if you live in the area and want to volunteer for one or more projects, click here for more information.
