The N.C. General Assembly is considering an important native plants bill that would ensure native trees, shrubs, and flowers are used for landscaping on state property. Senate Bill 318 (introduced again this year, known last year as SB 628) will help create more pollinator habitat and grow the market for native plants so that small business owners can plant and sell more of North Carolina's amazing flora.
If you run a local nursery, garden store, or landscaping company, add your company name to our business sign-on letter today.
If you want to recruit local businesses in your community to sign the letter, here's a how-to guide.
We will deliver signatures and business names to lawmakers during the upcoming legislative session.
