No matter who you are or where you’re from, birds are a fun and accessible way to connect with nature. But birds also serve as an important indicator of what’s happening to our climate and, for many, help inspire action.
That’s one of the big takeaways for Audubon’s departing climate campaign interns Jada Sherman and Camryn Sofronski. Jada is a senior at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University. Camryn is a senior at Wake Forest University. They spent the past few months growing Audubon's grassroots network and engaging new advocates on climate change.
Jada and Camryn helped advocates write letters to the editor in support of clean energy, facilitated a peer-to-peer texting campaign to reach new people, and helped build Audubon's capacity in the Sand Hills of North Carolina.
