UPDATE: Audubon Works to Strengthen NC’s Emissions Reductions Plan

Audubon NC has submitted comments to strengthen the the state’s emissions reduction plan for power plants to better protect the birds we love.

Audubon NC has submitted comments to the NC Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to strengthen the state’s emissions reduction plan for power plants to better protect the birds we love. For those interested, you can download the comments below. One of our key recommendations is that DEQ go back to the drawing board and develop an improved plan that will lead to significant emissions reductions and accelerate the transition to bird-friendly clean energy. The upcoming elections and court challenges to the EPA Clean Power Plan will all affect the timing of this process. We will continue to monitor things and identify the best places for Audubon to have our voice heard. Please stay ready to engage and take further action when that process begins.
