You're Invited: Chapter Day 2018

Registration is open for the 2018 Audubon North Carolina Chapter Day!

All Audubon North Carolina chapter members, Audubon Ambassadors, and those interested in creating hubs of Audubon action in North Carolina are invited to our annual Chapter Day at the North Carolina Zoo.

We hope everyone will walk away with new tools, new ideas, and new friends.

What: 2018 Audubon North Carolina Chapter Day

Where: Multi-Purpose Room in the Stedman Education Building, North Carolina Zoo, 4401 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro, NC
How: Registration is open here through July 30

This one-day meeting is a mix of training sessions led by Audubon staff, networking, and chapter presentations to share inspiring ideas and learn new strategies for engaging more people in bird conservation and advocacy.

Kim Brand will share top tips for recruiting and engaging volunteers, and facilitate a discussion on tried-and-true tips from chapters around the state. New Hope Audubon Society’s Bird-Friendly Habitat Certification team leaders Barbara Driscoll and Ben Skelton will share how they’ve visited 72 yards and made recommendations for boosting the bird-friendliness of 300 acres in this new program.

When: Saturday, August 4, 10 AM - 5 PM
Where: Multi-Purpose Room in the Stedman Education Building, North Carolina Zoo, 4401 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro, NC
Cost: $20 includes coffee & tea, lunch, beverages, and admission to the fabulous Birds in Flight show at 3:30 pm; Curator of Birds Debbie Zombeck will escort us from our meeting room to the show in a zoo bus.
