With over 100 years of conservation history in the state, Audubon North Carolina has the experience, reputation, and knowledge to conserve and defend our great natural heritage. To carry out this important work, we rely on leading citizens concerned about our environment for guidance and financial support.
The Pearson Society is named after our founder, T. Gilbert Pearson. Heartsick at the devastating losses among birds in the state, this young biology professor had a vision for a conservation organization that would become a model for protecting birds, other wildlife, and the homes they depend on. In1902, he created the Audubon Society of North Carolina.
With your help, we can continue the crucial work that Pearson began. Join the Pearson Society, and you join the fight to preserve the North Carolina we hold most dear. Help us protect our natural areas. Help us open new eyes to nature. Help bring conservation home to every family in the state, for today and for the future.
Donors become members of the Pearson Society by giving or pledging to Audubon’s work in North Carolina at the $1,000-or above level. You support at this level is vital to helping Audubon protect our great natural heritage across the state.
Our success in the next year will be thanks to your commitment tithe birds and natural wonders of North Carolina.
